GLIMT 2025: THE COLLECTIONS

Temporary exhibition

GLIMT is the Arctic University Museum of Norway's polar night exhibition. It consists of photographs displayed on an exterior wall, 11 meters wide.

The museum’s collections consist of natural and cultural history objects and artifacts, plants, music, and photographs. The photo collections—like the rest of the collections—are extensive and diverse: they include photographs of objects, organisms, buildings, places, and people from the 1850s to the present day.

In GLIMT 2025, we present a small selection that highlights the diversity of the photo collections.

The photographs will be displayed on an exterior wall daily from 07:00–10:00 (7AM-10PM) and 14:00–22:00, (2PM-10PM) from 9 December 2025 to 21 January 2026.

No museum ticket is required to view the exhibition.
