Plan your visit to The Polar Museum

What did hunters and explorers encounter in the farthest reaches of the North? The Polar Museum tells the story of expeditions, everyday life, and adventures in the Arctic from the 17th century to the present day.

The permanent exhibitions focus on Arctic hunting and trapping, Norwegian polar expeditions, and the cultural history of Svalbard.

Guided tours are offered every Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 PM. The tour is conducted in English and provides an introduction to the museum and its exhibitions.
