Research interests
My research interests include multilingualism, language comprehension, language processing, and L3 acquisition. In my PhD research, I focused on mediated receptive multilingualism between Ukrainian and Estonian, examining the factors that facilitate successful language comprehension and learning. Currently, my research focuses on cross-linguistic influence between Ukrainian and the societal language in Ukrainian children. In my research, I use different experiemental methods, including the Implicit Association Test, Matched-Guise Test, C-test, communication experiments, the Visual World Paradigm with eye-tracking, and the Multilingual Assessment Instrument for Narratives (MAIN).
In terms of teaching experience, I taught Ukrainian at the University of Tartu for one year at the A1 and A2 proficiency levels. In addition, I co-taught the Multilingualism and Beyond course at the UniTartu Summer School for two consecutive years.
