Job description

As Associate Professor of Gender Studies at the Centre for Women’s and Gender Research (SKK), I conduct research at the intersection of gender and cultural studies, critical AI studies, media and technology, and affect theory. My work focuses particularly on AI and gender, human-technology relations, digital intimacy, emotions and affective technologies, cultural robotics, and the politics of emerging technologies. I am also interested in experimental writing and its potential as a mode of feminist epistemology and knowledge production.

My responsibilities include research, teaching and supervision, development of interdisciplinary research projects, academic publishing, research dissemination, and contribution to the Centre’s national and international research activities. I also develop artistic research at the intersection of AI, affect, and human-machine interaction.

My research combines cultural theory with interdisciplinary and artistic research methods, with particular attention to how artificial intelligence, algorithms, affective technologies, and robotic systems transform gender, intimacy, emotion, embodiment, and relations between humans and technological objects.
