Job description
My research is focused on "Endothelial cell profiling and functional characterization of endothelial enriched genes". Currently I am working on the identification and functional analysis of endothelial cell-enriched long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) and their roles in endothelial function and vascular biology.
Using a novel integrative correlation analysis method developed in our group, we analyzed bulk RNA-seq data from multiple human tissues to identify lncRNAs consistently enriched in endothelial cells. We selected few promising candidates and I have been working to figure out the expression characteristics and potential functional role of the candidates in primary human umbilical vein EC, isolated from umbilical cords.
