In her role as an educator and supervisor, Garcia is responsible for overseeing the clinical placements of pharmacy students in the first year of their Master's program. Additionally, she annually supervises 2-3 students who are working on research projects related to their Master's theses.

Acknowledgments:

In 2014 Garcia was announced "Teacher of the year" at the Faculty of Health Sciences at UiT.
In 2024, Garcia advanced to the title as "Meritted Teacher" at UiT.
