I am a psychologist and professor of public health. I have a holistic view of humanity, also in relation to health and illness. I am concerned with how we can support individuals in taking the best possible care of themselves so that they can live a good life with the greatest possible physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual well-being.
Among other things, I have developed and tested mobile and internet-based interventions to support change in health behavior and I have studied social inequalities in the use of the internet for health purposes.
I am also involved in research on the school as a health-promoting arena and on supervision. And I have previously also worked on the implementation and testing of early intervention in the form of screening + systematic follow-up related to alcohol use in pregnant women, as well as the use of Partnership for Change methodology in substance abuse treatment.
