Hedda Smedheim Bjerklund
Job description
Hi, and welcome! My name is Hedda, and I am a PhD candidate researching Indigenous activism. In my thesis, I explore the conceptual and normative dimensions of Indigenous peoples’ direct action. I am particularly interested in the ways such activism can serve multiple purposes at once, and I argue that it should not always be understood through liberal theories of civil disobedience.
Research interests
Social justice, political philosophy, environmental philosophy and research ethics.
