Research interests
My research examines how institutions and organizational structures can promote inclusion, access, and social sustainability by strengthening local user interests and addressing the needs of local communities. Analytically, the research is anchored in three thematic pillars: (1) small‑scale coastal fisheries and their institutional frameworks, (2) processes related to the institutionalization of Sámi rights, and (3) value creation and societal impacts in the tourism industry. In a transversal line of inquiry, I investigate the implementation of online education in higher education, with particular emphasis on the organizational conditions for fully flexible educational models, as well as the barriers and opportunities that emerge when such models are integrated into existing institutional practices.
Teaching
I teach courses in administrative studies, with a particular emphasis on organization, project work, and innovation processes. My teaching is part of UiT’s online education offerings, where the learning design is developed to meet the needs of students who seek access to higher education regardless of time, place, or life situation. In this work, I emphasize flexible and student‑active learning approaches that support both academic progression and practical application.
