Shaddai Heidgen
Job description
Postdoctoral researcher specializing in environmental archeology and palaeoecology, with expertise in lake sediment core analysis and multi-proxy approaches. My work focuses on reconstructing past environments, land use, and human–environment interactions using sedimentary archives. I apply methods including sedaDNA metabarcoding, palynology, microfossil analysis, and geochemical techniques, combined with statistical modeling and time-series analysis. My research integrates environmental data with archaeological evidence to investigate landscape change, agricultural practices, and climate–human interactions across different regions and time periods.
