Job description
I am a physician and researcher at the Department of Community Medicine, UiT The Arctic University of Norway, where I am completing my PhD. My research is affiliated with the Tromsø Study, and investigates social inequality in non-communicable diseases and risk factors.
I also take part in the methodological work of the Tromsø Study. From 2023 to 2025 I was editor for the questionnaire in Tromsø8, the eighth wave of the study, and I am currently involved in compiling background material from Tromsø8.

Research interests
Social inequality in health, non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and risk factors, life-course epidemiology, life-course adversity and somatic health, chronic pain and medically unexplained symptoms, the Tromsø Study.
Teaching
I teach at the medical programme at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, including as a mentor in Professional Competence in the Medical Programme (PROFKOM).
