Job description

I work 20 % as a programmer for Center for Saami lexicography which is being built up at UiT in connection to Giellatekno. My duties include the maintenance and development of technical infrastructure and other technical support. I work at home office, so please contact me though e-mail, Teams, Zulip or phone.

Previously I have taught North Saami from beginner level as a University College teacher (autumn 2025 and spring 2026) and hosted a course in Skolt Saami language and culture (SAM-1300 summer 2026).

I have also worked as a programmer and computer linguist at Giellatekno. I mainly worked with computational grammatical analysis of Kildin Saami, with a main goal of creating a spell checker, in addition to generating inflection paradigms and analyzing texts.
