Job description

As the conservator at the Cultural History Laboratory, The Arctic University Museum of Norway, I am responsible for preserving and communicating the cultural heritage through work with the museum's Cultural historical and Sámi-Ethnographic collections. My key tasks include investigating historical contexts, conducting condition assessments, monitoring environmental conditions in storage and exhibition spaces, and performing conservation treatments to ensure the long-term preservation of the museums collections.

I have a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Cultural History from the University of Oslo (2014), a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Heritage and Conservation Studies (BA) from the University of Oslo (2018), and a Master’s degree (MA) in Object Conservation from the same institution (2020). My specialization lies in the preservation of cultural historical and ethnographic collections, and I also have experience in the conservation of art and archaeological collections.
