đ Who can apply?
Placement opportunities in medical and healthcare sciences (e.g. Nursing, Midwifery, Occupational Therapy, Paramedics, Physiotherapy, or Social Education), including practical and clinical placements, internships and traineeships, are only available to students from our official partner universities.
đ« Freemover policy
UiT does not accept freemover or independent students for hospital and clinical placements in Northern Norway, including: Alta, Bardufoss, Bodø, Hammerfest, Harstad, Kirkenes, Mo i Rana, and Tromsø.
This applies to Clinical Medicine and Health Care programmes such as:
- Nursing
- Midwifery
- Elderly Care
- Radiography
- And related health disciplines

Not sure whether your university has a partnership agreement with UiT? Please contact the Erasmus+ Coordinator or International Office at your home institution.
â Nominations and application deadlines
Partner universities will receive an email invitation to nominate students through UiT's online nomination form.
Nomination deadlines
- Clinical Rotations in Medicine: 10 September / 10 March
- Nursing: 15 September / 15 March
- All Other Programmes: 15 October / 15 April
Student application deadlines
Once nominated, students will receive an email with application instructions and a link to the online application form.
- Clinical Rotations in Medicine: 1 October / 1 April
- Nursing: 15 October / 15 April
- All Other Programmes: 1 November / 1 May

After receiving your nomination, we will begin the process of arranging your practical or clinical placement. We will contact you as soon as possible with updates.
