Photonics
About the course
The course is available as a singular course for students on master level. The course is also available to exchange students and Fulbright students.
The course treats traditional optics, waveguides and laser physics. Topics discussed are geometric optics, Gaussian beams, electromagnetic waves, integrated optics, optical fibers, optical amplification, laser theory and some laser systems. The students obtain practical experience through laboratory exercises.
