ChatUiT and AI

ChatUiT is UiT's own version of ChatGPT. It can assist you with text-related tasks suck as brainstorming, translation, structuring, proofreading and summarising. It is available for all staff and students at UiT, and user data is neither shared or used for training.

Copilot Chat is a tool that assists you with text-related tasks such as brainstorming, structuring and document analysis. Log in with your UiT account at office.com. This ensures that both your data and UiT's data are protected.

Copilot Chat is also available in the web browser Edge and as a standalone program in Windows 11.

Klartekst converts (transcribes) speech into text. Upload audio or video files for transcription.

Keenious helps you find articles and information on a topic. You can add Keenious (Add-in) to Word.

Deepseek is a language model, similar to ChatGPT. It is not permitted on PCs, laptops or other equipment owned by UiT. Employees are also prohibited from using UiT services such as email, Teams and OneDrive on personal devices where Deepseek is installed.

The language model is not allowed because it does not comply with data protection regulations. There is significant uncertainty regarding its security and how infomation is stored and used.

M365 Copilot is an AI assistant integrated into Microsoft 365 applications to enchance productivity and efficiency. It helps you generate content, automate tasks, and gain insight from data. For example, it can write emails for you, draft meeting minutes, and more.

Copilot has access to all the information you have access to in Microsoft 365, including sensitive data, emails and chats. The AI team at UiT expects to have a recommendation for M365 Copilot ready soon.
