8 steps for a successful event.

1 Clarify the framwork

  1. Decide what type of event you are organising: conference, lecture, workshop, seminar, ceremony, webinar,or something else.
  2. Set the date and time.
  3. Choose the venue and digital platform.
  4. Allocate resources (personnel and budget) for planning and execution.

3 Consider recording and streaming

Make sure the room you book at UiT has the Panopto video program installed. Panopto allows for video recording, editing, and sharing.

4 Submit procurement requests

Before purchasing items such as food, gifts, decorations, or similar, submit a procurement request via the finance and procurement work support pages.

Consider registration

Decide if attendees need to register, for example, if the venue has limited capacity or if you want to know how many people will attend.

Set up registration via Nettskjema.

Plan the visuals

Think about how the event will be visually presented to ensure it appears professional and recognisable across channels.

Create a Tavla event

Publish your event on en.uit.no/tavla to make it known to staff, students, and others.
