Internal Channels
Here you’ll find channels and guides you can use to communicate with employees and students.
Leaders and meetings
Leaders and meetings are the most important channels we have, so use them actively to reach different target groups.
Leaders are responsible for communication both internally and externally, so consider whether they can pass on information to the appropriate levels and individuals.

Announcement on the intranet and Min side (My Page)
All employees can publish announcements to staff and/or students at a specific campus, or to employees within a unit or an area of interest.
Announcements for staff appear on the intranet, while announcements for students appear on My Page for students. Many announcements are also sent out via newsletters.
If you want to publish to all staff and/or students, you must send a request to Joint service: Digital Channels (Kanalforvaltning). Attach the text you wish to publish, and Kanalforvaltning will review the case.

Newsletters
Newsletters for students and for all employees are sent out every Friday at 10:00 and 13:00. They contain a selection of the week’s announcements on the intranet and Min side (My Page).
The newsletter is edited by Joint service: Digital Channels (Kanalforvaltning) before it is sent. Note that only students who have opted to subscribe receive the newsletter.
There are several other newsletters you can subscribe to, for example unit news, operational notices, and Tavla events.
Info screens
UiT has information screens at selected locations to share information and promote events to students, employees, and visitors.
Fill out this form to have a notice posted. The notice will be made available to all screens in the digital signage system, but the staff responsible at each unit or building manage what is published on their screens.
Please note that the processing time may take up to 3 days.
If you want the notice to be shown only at a specific faculty or department, you must contact them.

If you want a notice, you can choose between three formats:
-
Full-screen display: An image or poster with text and graphics in landscape format, for example a slide from PowerPoint. Size: 1920×1080 pixels.
-
UiT template: A UiT template consists of a short text (on the right) and an image (on the left). The text is limited to 380 characters including spaces, and the image is in portrait format. If you only have text, that is sufficient.
-
Video: A video in landscape format (16:9). It should not be longer than 12 seconds, and the maximum size is 20 MB.
Other formats, such as those used on social media, are not suitable.
You can find design tips in the design manual (in Norwegian).
