Job description

Hilde Synnøve Blix is professor in aural skills at the Music concervatory in Tromsø. She is the head of the Master program in aural skills and instrumental pedagogy. Her research interests are: aural training, music literacy, sustainable supervision, gender equality in music education, and artistic research processes. She has published a diversity of articles and books in the music education field, including the PhD theses Musikkliteracy. En studie av instrumentalelever ved en norsk kulturskole og deres tilegnelse av musikkliteracy i lys av sosiokognitive teorier om barns læring (Blix 2012), and Gender Issues in Scandinavian Music Education (Onsrud et. al 2021)
