Job description
My work includes teaching and research-based development activities focused on student learning processes, particularly self-regulated learning, motivation, and learning design. I contribute to professional development for academic staff through advising and supporting the development of teaching, assessment, and learning design, and I participate in institutional initiatives related to educational quality.
I teach and supervise in university pedagogical courses and seminars, and I develop resources that support staff in planning and implementing effective learning activities and assessment practices. In recent years, I have played an active role in research and dissemination related to AI in higher education.
My research focuses on how teaching practices and learning design can enhance students’ learning, engagement, and mastery. Key areas of interest include how educational design influences students’ self-regulation and motivation, how emerging technologies reshape the conditions for teaching and assessment, and how inclusive and engaging learning environments can be developed across educational levels.
I am involved in research and development projects concerning flexible learning design, generative AI, student engagement, and pedagogical innovation. I also contribute to institutional initiatives for educational quality at UiT and participate in international collaboration through the EUGLOH network, working on projects related to educational quality and learning innovation.
