Job description

I am a professor of Saami linguistics. I am particularly interested in grammar and language change and also didactics in Saami language education. In the period 2006–2018 I worked as a linguist with Saami language technology in Giellatekno, and I am still affiliated with the research group, where I work with morphology and syntax, machine translation and dictionaries. Before I started at UiT, I worked with the revitalization of Saami language in Gáivuotna/Kåfjord municipality and at the language center there.
