Andreas Langdal
Job description
I am currently working at the Up4Food project at NTNU and the AlgOpti project at UiT. As part of AlgOpti I focus on assessing the envirionemtal footprint of cultivation and utilization of microalgae as a resource for food and feed production. My work involves assessing footprints like CO2 emissions and land-use change scaled for and nutritional potential of algae-based products. Previously, I completed my Ph.D. at this institute as part of the interdisciplinary SECURE project (Novel Marine Resources for Food Security and Food Safety), where I investigated the utilization and environmental impact of low-trophic marine species. My research continues to build on this foundation, aiming to advance sustainable solutions for global food security.
