Gabrielle Emma Kleber

Job description

Gabrielle Kleber is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Ice, Cryosphere, Carbon, and Climate (iC3) within the Department of Geosciences. Her research focuses on understanding the release of methane from deglaciating landscapes, spanning both terrestrial and marine environments, and its implications for climate change.

Gabrielle earned her PhD in Earth Sciences (Glacial Biogeochemistry) from the University of Cambridge (UK), where she explored the formation and evolution of methane-rich groundwater springs resulting from glacier retreat on Svalbard. Her work combines field-based research and laboratory analysis to address critical questions about the role of glaciers in the global carbon cycle.
