    Research interests

    My research focuses on multilingualism, language learning, linguistically responsive teaching and the interface between language and cognition, especially in people with neurological disease.

    2025–2026 I will work together with PhD Antti Saloranta (guest research in Kven language at UiT) to investigate the phonetic system of the Kven language by comparing archival and self-collected speech data. In addition, we will examine possible differences in the perception of the sound system and grammar in Kven and Finnish by using psychophysiological measurements.
