Being in UiT for my research and thesis-writing semester has been the best decision I made this year. I enjoyed my time on the island of Tromsoya, and as my program requires me to go to 4 different universities in Europe, I would say UiT has the best student life experience. UiT has wide-range facilities and services that make it the best student-life experience. I can easily find a space to sit down, study, and write my thesis. Both the academic and non-academic staff were helpful and friendly. All welcomed me well and that makes tromso feel homey.

I recalled everyday throughout the week there are free programs for students that enhance our wellbeing from walking with the dog, free yoga, free work-out program with free lunch, to my favorite: free waffle friday. I am super thankful for the International office that curated all things and activities happening at UiT and greater Tromso through its weekly mail.

The student organizations were helpful and I enjoyed spending time and discussing with friends from SAIH and other students at the student accommodations. Life in general was lovely. I enjoyed Aurora almost every night, and when the Aurora season ended, we had amazing golden hours in the evening welcoming the midnight sun season. Everything is breathtaking there.

If I ever wrote a biography book, life in Tromso and experience at UiT will definitely have a chapter in it.
