Arctic Infrastructure

Arctic Infrastructure (ArcIn) is a part of the Simulations research group which aims to develop and apply innovative approaches for structural health monitoring (SHM) and condition assessment of infrastructure such as railways, dams, bridges, residential buildings, heritage buildings, and both onshore and offshore structures through field and laboratory investigations as well as simulations. With the rapid change in climate in the Arctic, ageing of infrastructure, and geopolitical situations, monitoring of assets is important to decrease the downtime, decrease the risk of failure by predictive maintenance and provide best services to the citizens. ArcIn has the following divisions:

Lab Infrastructure

  • 3D- Printing Lab
  • Lab equipment for dynamic monitoring of infrastructure
