Students came together for an inspiring inaugural meeting to explore how sustainability can be more fully integrated into the dentistry curriculum.

Led by Dr. Margit Hågå and Associate Professor Anne M. Gussgard, the event brought together 20 third- and fourth-year students in the Department of Dentistry auditorium. Together, they identified key priorities and formed thematic working groups that will help shape the next steps in this important initiative.

The group will meet again in April to explore concrete actions, opportunities, and possible barriers to embedding sustainable practices in dental education.

The event also coincided with the online publication of the student journal Oralen, which encourages dental students to become a Driving Force for Sustainability.
