17th of May is the Norwegian Constitution Day, and this is an official national holiday that is celebrated in a grand way! Traditionally we start the day having breakfast with our families and friends, and then we watch the children in the parade in the city centre, or in the districts around.
Time: 17th May 08:30 - 10:30 (please make sure to arrive no later than 08:30)
Venue: Clarion Hotel The Edge
Dress code: Smart/formal. Norwegians will dress in national costumes/dresses/suits. If you have a national costume from Your home country, please feel free to wear this.
Menu: Breakfast buffet.
After breakfast, we suggest that you go to see the children's parade that will pass through the city centre. The parade starts from Kongsbakken School at 11:00.
Please register for this event no later than May 9th by sending an e-mail to elisabeth.g.nilsen@uit.no with information about how many you are, and if you have children, I need their ages.
