Gender Gap in Science

A Global Approach to the Gender Gap in Mathematical, Computing, and Natural Sciences: How to Measure It, How to Reduce It?

Women are still under-represented in fields such as computing, engineering, mathematics, and physics. The "Gender Gap in Sciences" project outlines a global approach to the Gender Gap in Mathematical, Computing, and Natural Sciences.  The project aims to provide evidence to support the making of informed decisions on science policy. Moreover, the project aims to provide materials proven to be useful in encouraging girls and young women to study and pursue education in mathematics and natural sciences. Regional information about careers, jobs, and salaries directed at parents, schools, and other relevant agents, will be provided.

Colette Guilope and Marie Francoise Roy, two Frech mathematicians who are amongst the coordinators for the project will present the project and its outcomes. Their presentation will be followed by a panel discussion.

Waffles and coffee will be served. We would appreciate it if you signed up for the physical event.

Both the presentation as well as the panel discussion will be streamed online, registration is not required. You can follow the stream here
