Har du bøker du er ferdig med som bare tar opp plass i bokhylla - og som noen andre kan få glede av? Ta dem med deg på bokbyttekveld!

Du får én kupong for hver bok du leverer inn, og kan bruke kupongen til å velge en annen brukt bok.

Vi stiller med nødvendig utstyr og veiledning.
Hvis det er mange deltakere kan det bli litt ventetid.
Har du et fint papir eller stoff du vil bruke til omslag eller inni boka, kan du gjerne ta det med

Boktips fra universitetsbibliokteket

Er du usikker på hva du skal lese i sommer? Spesialbiblioktekarer Amalie Egeland Moen og Lisa Marie Kristin Boine deler sine beste boktips ca kl. 18.

Det er gratis å delta så lenge du har gyldig inngangsbillett til museet. Barn under 18 år og UiT-studenter har gratis inngang.

Arrangementet er del av serien "Onsdag på museet", med kveldsåpent museum og arrangementer én dag i måneden. Samme kveld er det strikkekafe kl. 17-19 og konsert i kafeen kl. 19.

Er du ofte på museet? Museumspass hos oss (kr. 500,-) gir gratis inngang i ett år for deg og en gjest du vil ta med (du kan ta med en ny gjest for hvert besøk, om du ønsker). Museumspasset gjelder for Norges arktiske universitetsmuseum, Polarmuseet og MS Polstjerna (åpen i sommermånedene).

BOOKBINDING & BOOK SWAP EVENING

Who doesn’t love a good book — whether for reading, writing, or drawing in? During the museum’s late opening on Wednesday 10 June, you can make your own notebook, swap old favourites for new reading experiences, and get summer reading recommendations from the specialist librarians at the University Library. There will also be live music in the café. Welcome to the final “Wednesday at the Museum” of the season!

Do you have books you’ve finished reading that are just taking up space on your bookshelf — and that someone else might enjoy? Bring them along to our book swap evening!

You will receive one voucher for each book you bring, which you can exchange for another second-hand book.

We provide all necessary materials and guidance
If many people participate, there may be some waiting time
If you have a nice piece of paper or fabric you would like to use for the cover or inside your book, feel free to bring it along
No registration required
You are welcome to come and go as you please during the event
Suitable for all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult

Book recommendations from the University Library

Not sure what to read this summer? Specialist librarians Amalie Egeland Moen and Lisa Marie Kristin Boine will share some of their favourite book recommendations at around 6 PM.

Participation is free with a valid museum admission ticket. Children under 18 and UiT-students always have free admission to the museum.

The event is part of the series “Wednesday at the Museum”, with late-night exhibitions and activities once a month. The same evening we have a knitting cafe from 5-7 and a concert in the cafe at 7.

PLACE The Arctic University Museum of Norway, Lars Thøringsveg 10
ENTRY Adults NOK 130,- / senior citizens and students NOK 100,- / UiT-students, children and youth under 18 years have free entrance. The ticket provides access to the entire museum from 10 AM to 9 PM on the same day.

Do you visit the museum often? A Museum Pass (NOK 500) gives free admission for one year for you and one guest of your choice (you can bring a new guest for each visit, of you would like). The Museum Pass is valid for one year at the Arctic University Museum of Norway, the Polar Museum, and MS Polstjerna (open during the summer months).
