First Impressions is UiT’s annual photovoice competition for exchange students and new staff. In it, newcomers show what life in Northern Norway looks like through their eyes. This year’s exhibition travels across our campuses, and from 15 to 23 October it is in Glassgata at Campus Narvik.
Join the celebration: Wednesday 21 October, 11:30–12:30, in Glassgata, outside Newtonsrommet (the former Grut kaffebar). We’ll serve coffee, tea and waffles. Everyone is welcome.

Behind First Impressions: The project was initiated by the CRAFT Research Lab and UiT's Centre for Arctic Humanities (ArcHum). It is run together with Environmental Humanities and the Specialisation in Marketing study programme at the School of Business and Economics, Campus Harstad. It is supported by the International Cooperation Section and the international offices in Alta, Harstad and Narvik, with help from the University Chaplaincy, the Student Parliament and Graphic Services.
