Photo exhibition on 'Ukraine: Daily Resistance'

On 3 November 2026, Human Rights Research League (HRRL) in collaboration with the University of Tromsø (UiT – The Arctic University of Norway) will open a photo exhibition on 'Ukraine: Daily Resistance', with photographs by Ukrainian photojournalist Yan Dobronosov.
The exhibition, to be presented from 3–6 November 2026 in ‘Solhallen’, features about 50 photographs taken by Dobronosov since the beginning of the full-scale war of aggression committed by Russia against Ukraine, depicting the Ukrainian people’s daily resistance, both soldiers fighting on the front lines and the civilians' daily struggle for survival, braving constant Russian attacks, destruction, and death.
By also including snapshots of everyday life, which Ukrainians are determined to uphold despite the hardship of war, the exhibition demonstrates how a population's daily resolve and resilience contribute to the overall strength of its resistance against an aggressor. The photo exhibition serves as a prelude to and accompanies the conference on ‘Ukraine: Braving Aggression. Resilience and Resistance in Times of War’ that will take place on 5 November 2026, here at the University of Tromsø (for more information, please see below or scan the QR-code).
