Research interests
I am currently a principal investigator leading a project – ‘Targeting of pre-metastatic niche formation in neuroblastoma’. My research interests aim at identifying and exploring the functions of tumor-derived exosomal miRNAs, which can act as biomarkers participating in pre-metastatic niche formation that could be used for diagnosis, prognosis, and intervention of cancer metastasis. Neuroblastoma cell lines and patient derived xenograft (PDX) models are used in this project. Furthermore, techniques used in this project shall include electron microscopy, western blotting, RT-qPCR, microRNA Microarray and various in vitro and in vivo assays. I have also established collaborations with Swedish and Italian Research Groups to work together on this project.
