Museveni Ntwalibalilimba Justine

Job description

Dr. Museveni N. Justine is a PhD student at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, affiliated with the Research Group for Child and Adolescent Health at the Faculty of Health Sciences. His research focuses on pediatric infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and gut microbiota, with an emphasis on how early-life interventions, such as probiotics, impact infant health in low-resource settings.

He serves as a co-investigator and coordinator of the ProRIDE Trial, a large-scale randomized controlled trial conducted in Tanzania. In this role, he has been instrumental in study design, participant recruitment, data collection, and technical oversight. His research explores the potential of probiotics in reducing AMR, with findings submitted for publication in Lancet Global Health.

Beyond his PhD research, Dr. Justine is actively involved in clinical research capacity building and international collaborations at Haydom Global Health Research Center. His work is dedicated to translating research into practical solutions that improve newborn and child health in vulnerable populations.
