Kirsti Seljenes

Job description

I am currently working on my doctoral research project, “Violence Risk Among Adolescents: Clinical Decision-Making and Follow-Up in Norwegian Specialist Health Services” (the VORU-NOR Study), and I work as a psychologist at the University Hospital of North Norway. In my research, we aim to investigate the specialized healthcare provided, and currently being provided, to young people who may pose a risk to others and who are suspected of violence, abuse, and/or sexual offences. We also seek to describe how hospitals themselves have organized healthcare services for this patient group.

My research is a collaboration between the University Hospital of North Norway, UiT The Arctic University of Norway, and other professional and research groups working on risk assessment and violence risk assessment.
