Research interests
My research in the Dsolve project focuses on governance incentives to enhance the adoption of biodegradable materials, addressing plastic litter issues in the fishery and aquaculture industries. Through this work package, I explore policy mechanisms, regulatory frameworks, and economic incentives that can drive sustainable material use, reducing environmental harm.
Building on my PhD research, which centered on the economic and environmental dimensions of aquaculture—particularly the sustainability challenges and climate impacts on shrimp farming—I bring a strong interdisciplinary perspective. My work integrates economic analysis with environmental policy to develop effective governance strategies for reducing plastic pollution in aquaculture, contributing to both industry sustainability and marine ecosystem protection.
