My research focuses on concrete technology, cementitious-based composites, alternative binder development, fiber-reinforced concrete for precast applications, the behaviour of concrete exposed to elevated temperatures, and recycling and reuse of construction and demolition waste. My dissertation topic was "Study of the cementitious concrete spalling due to high temperature" obtained in February 2021. I am part of the research team of two projects researching the industrial application of recycled concrete aggregates and alternative supplementary cementitious materials as a partial replacement of natural aggregates and cement in the production of new concrete. Furthermore, I am involved in experimental work focused on alternative supplementary cementitious materials, development of concrete for low radioactive waste storage, fresh concrete properties evaluation by rheometer and viscometer, utilisation of eco-friendly basalt micro-fibres and basalt composites as a replacement of steel and synthetic fibres in concrete production and testing of standard and new types of admixtures, especially air-entraining agents. Furthermore, my focus is on materials based on various chemical reactions, such as alkali-activated materials, of iron-based binders. I have established and lead the research group DeTeA
