A Learning Agreement must be signed by you and your home university before you upload it on UiT's Application Web Service within the specified deadline. The Learning Agreement is a contract and forms the basis for approval and recognition of the course modules or traineeship at UiT. It is also an essential part of your educational plan at your home university and for gaining financial support for your exchange stay in Norway.
Prior recognition at your home university
Prior recognition is your guarantee that your period of study abroad will be recognised as part of your individual education plan at your home university., it is important to have the course modules or traineeshp at UiT approved and signed by your home university in your Learning Agreement.

When you are searching for courses at UiT, you must look for courses that can be recognized and approved by your home university.
Prior recognition of traineeship
Exchange students, who intend to come to UiT on a traineeship (period of practical training abroad) or thesis project, must receive help from their academic coordinator at their home university in collaboration with the exchange coordinator at UiT to find a relevant training place that satisfies the requirements of your study at your home university.
Please note: Learning Agreement: your home institution must sign this document. You do not need a signature from UiT on your learning agreement at the time of application. (If admitted, you will receive a signed learning agreement from UiT with your letter of admission).
