TEK-2803 Environmental Sustainability and Global Health - 5 ECTS

Admission requirements

A relevant undergraduate Bachelor Engineering program with minimum 25 credits mathematics, 5 credits statistics, 7,5 credits physics.

Recommended prerequisites: Basic knowledge in chemistry and physics


Course content

This upper-level online course in Environmental Sustainability and Global Health is designed for university undergraduate students to explore the intricate relationship between environmental factors and public health. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of key global health challenges related to environmental sustainability, including the impacts of climate change, air pollution, and water quality on public health. The course will delve into the social and economic determinants of health, such as food security and occupational safety, and emphasize the importance of health equity and social justice in sustainable development.

In total the students hand in two assignments for evaluation. The assignments should be submitted individually. In addition, there will be homework assignments and quizzes following the tutorials to assess student's progress.
