Riana Steen is an Associate Professor specializing in organizational resilience, business continuity, crisis management, and risk governance. She works with system modelling approaches, including the Functional Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM) and the Viable System Model (VSM). Her focus areas include resilience engineering, organizational adaptation, risk governance, and the management of complex socio-technical systems. Her research examines how organizations prepare for, respond to, and learn from disruptions, with the aim of strengthening preparedness, adaptive capacity, and continuity in uncertain and dynamic environments.
