At the department we have six research groups which conduct both fundamental and applied research. These research groups are also directly involved in the education of students for a wide range of diciplines. The research groups are involved in several major projects financed by The Research Council of Norway (Norges forskningsråd), European Research Council and other sources.
We have 13 projects at our unit:
Investigation on morphological and molecular fingerprints of penguin brain using label-free optical imaging and spectroscopic techniques
Subsurface damage identification and localization in PZT ceramics using point contact excitation and detection: An image processing framework
A probabilistic machine learning framework for stiffness tensor estimation of carbon composite laminate
Simulation of interferometric imaging with EISCAT_3D for fine-scale in-beam incoherent scatter spectra measurements
Long-range correlations with finite-size effects from a superposition of uncorrelated pulses with power-law distributed durations
