At the department we have six research groups which conduct both fundamental and applied research. These research groups are also directly involved in the education of students for a wide range of diciplines. The research groups are involved in several major projects financed by The Research Council of Norway (Norges forskningsråd), European Research Council and other sources.
We have 12 projects at our unit:
Iceberg detection using L- and C-band SAR imagery
Exploring the Potential of L-band SAR for Sea Ice Characterization and Class Separability Enhancement
Efficient Learning of Molecular Properties Using Graph Neural Networks Enhanced with Chemistry Knowledge
Reconsidering Spatial Alignment for Longitudinal Breast Cancer Risk Prediction
Intense Dynamic Optical Auroral Sub‐Structure as a Proxy for Ionospheric Density Irregularities
A study of the Jovian current sheet in the Juno era, using a combined modelling approach
