At the department we have six research groups which conduct both fundamental and applied research. These research groups are also directly involved in the education of students for a wide range of diciplines. The research groups are involved in several major projects financed by The Research Council of Norway (Norges forskningsråd), European Research Council and other sources.
We have 10 projects at our unit:
Statistical Analysis of Off-Great Circle Radio Wave Propagation in the Polar Cap
Discovering common information in multi-view data
Comparison of Explainable Machine Learning Methods for Marine Vegetation Mapping by Using Hyperspectral Imagery
Sea ice dynamics - Initial results from ARTofMELT
BPI-GNN: Interpretable brain network-based psychiatric diagnosis and subtyping
Towards a multi-decadal SAR analysis of sea ice types in the Atlantic sector of the Arctic Ocean
