The department is run by our Head of Department, leadership support, and a Ph.D. Coordinator. The programme directors are part of an extended management team.

Administrative services are given by the Unit for Department Administration. This unit takes care of issues like student contact, education and exams. They provide services related to finances, personnel matters and general support at the department level.  In addition, they provide leader support both to Head of Department and the programme directors. Contact the administration via the Serviceportal TopDesk.

The department's safety representative is Hege Olaussen (deputy: Merete Andersen), both at campus Tromsø. The local safety representative for employees at campus Alta is Tina Lisø at IBS Alta.
