RKBU Nord is one of four centers in Norway that focus on researching and improving child welfare and mental health for children and youth. The other centers are located in Trondheim, Oslo, and Bergen.
These centers are supported by a governmental grant from the Norwegian Directorate of Health and the Directorate for Children, Youth, and Family Affairs and works to improve the quality of services for children and families. They support municipalities, healthcare services, and child welfare services in their efforts to prevent problems among children and adolescents. For more information on the four centers, visit the national page at Kunnskapombarn.no.
RKBU Nord works with other centers in the region like SANKS, ViVat, Korus Nord, RVTS Nord, and Napha to share knowledge and improve cooperation. More about the centres: Kompetansesentrene i Nord-Norge
