Translational Cancer Research Group

Our group is based on research collaboration between Dept of Clinical Medicine and Dept of Medical Biology. Our scientists are studying molecular markers in tumor tissue from lung cancer, sarcomas and prostate cancer of importance for cancer development.

By comparing the clinical data with the presence of these molecules, they can provide information about diagnosis, prognosis and treatment response. Some of these molecules may be future targets for new cancer therapy. We also focus on the effect of novel cancer therapy.

The projects in the research group are based on a collaboration between basic researchers, physician researchers and clinical researchers.
