Social Psychology

The research group Social Psychology within the Department of Psychology is an expert cluster for basic and applied research. In the Norwegian Research Council’s recent evaluation of the quality of Norwegian research in psychology and psychiatry, the group ranked in the highest tertile (Report). The group’s current research covers a broad range of content areas including cultural, historical, and legal psychology, positive psychology, conscious and nonconscious social cognition, lifestyle and tourism, extreme sports, and consumer research.
