High North Population Studies

High North Population Studies is an interdisciplinary strategic project at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. The goal is to strengthen the health of future generations by providing more, better and faster knowledge about health and living conditions in the population.

The project addresses national and international health challenges with a particular focus on the High North. The Tromsø Study's unique collection of health data from 1974 provides the foundation for extensive research collaboration across research institutions and borders.
Our ultimate aim is that the population will benefit from knowledge-based health policy, better health planning and patient treatment.
