Two new projects!
RG 3S3E is a partner in a 3-year EU Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership in Higher Education project, starting 1 September 2020 through 31 August 2023. The project is called NEEDS (Needs-based education and studies in societal security). It is led by the Council of the Baltic Sea States International Secretariat (CBSS), Civil Security team. Other partners come from Finland, Germany, Latvia, Poland and Sweden. NEEDS aims to strengthen the quality, attractiveness and scope of education in societal security through tackling the mismatches between the focus of education, and the knowledge needs of the field. The objective of NEEDS is to better prepare the next generation tasked to work in the field of societal security by boosting their educational experiences with the most relevant, field-specific and up-to-date knowledge and skills. This objective will be achieved through co-creation of educational materials in cross-sectoral, multi-level and transnational teams, where input for developing the materials are collected directly from those working practically in the field. RG S3E3 is a partner in a new project called Climate Change Resilience in Small Communities in the Nordic Countries (CliCNord), which received a positive funding decision of totally 11 Mio NOK from Nordforsk for three years, starting in January 2021. The project is led by University College Copenhagen (Københavns Professionshøjskole) – KP/Emergency and Risk Management, with participation of several organisations from Denmark (and the Faroe Islands), Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.
