Kjell H. Halvorsen
Job description
Professor Kjell H. Halvorsen is a member of the Department of Pharmacy, where he balances a combination of administrative duties, teaching responsibilities and research. With a passion for advancing the field of pharmacy, he is both involved in the educational and strategic operations at the department.
As the course coordinator for FAR-2505 and FAR-3505, he plays a key role in planning and executing teaching modules that are crucial for preparing students for their professional careers.
He is an active researcher in the research group for Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacoepidemiology (IPSUM). Here, he contributes to the creation of knowledge that informs best practices in the pharmacy profession and leads to improved patient care outcomes. His main research interests include clinical pharmacy and pharmacoepidemiology, nursing home medicine and medicine use in older adults, pharmacy practice and especially quality indicators for pharmacies.
Currently, he acts as the Deputy Head of the Department of Pharmacy and is a member of the Department Board where he assists in guiding the department towards its strategic goals and maintaining its reputation for excellence in research and education.
