Job description
I hold an M.Sc. in Sports Science with a pedagogical/didactic profile in outdoor education, along with supporting subjects in sociology and sports psychology. Since 2011, I have been affiliated with UiT – The Arctic University of Norway, working across several fields under the umbrella of Physical/Outdoor Education.
Through UiT’s programs for outdoor education instructors and nature guides, I initially worked in Alta, on Svalbard, and in Lofoten, and today in Tromsø. In collaborations with the nature-based tourism sector and the interdisciplinary environment at UiT at sports, outdoor education, and tourism.
Since 2019, I have been employed at the Department of Teacher Education and Pedagogy (ILP). Today I teach and supervise at teacher - and early childhood teacher education in the field of outdoor and physical education.
I have broad experience in pedagogical practice across areas such as Nordic and alpine winter travel, avalanche safety, kayaking/canoeing, glacier travel, climbing/bouldering, mountain- and forest environments. Relations between human - nature - culture and embodied learning are central topics in my teachervoice.

Research interests
Teaching
* Lecturer at the Early Childhood and Teacher Education program, Campus Tromsø and Alta. Areas of expertise include outdoor education, physical activity, sustainability, and physical education subjects (2019–present).
* Previously extensive experience in training outdoor activity instructors/teachers and nature guides in Svalbard, Lofoten, and Alta through employment at UiT - School of Sport Sciences (2011–2019). Project manager and course coordinator for the development and implementation of the Norwegian Nature Guide program in Lofoten (2016–2019).
*Solid practical experience in embodied learning, experiential learning, outdoor education pedagogical approaches, play and didactic teaching in sports and physical education, as well as risk and safety management (DM) in a professional perspective.
