Research interests
My research interest lies at the intersection between environmental history and philosophy with a focus on the transformation of intangible cultural heritage to societal post-growth resilience. I currently explore the potential for such transformation inherent in the intangible cultural heritage of bird tending in the northern seascapes of Norway (Sea-related Values and Identities in the Vega Archipelago (VIVA), RCN 2024-2025).
Recently I explored this transformative potential in local rural steel industry, see Making CO2 a resource. The Interplay Between Research, Innovation and Industry (Routledge Exploration in Environmental Studies, 2024) co-edited with Elin M. Oftedal.
